Artwork meaning:

The artwork by Jordan Lovegrove, Ngarrindjeri, of Dreamtime Creative, depicts the Footprints in Time study over the past 11 years and into the future. The longitudinal study of around 1600 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and parents each year from urban, regional and remote areas around Australia is represented by the map and the meeting circles. The large pathway through the centre depicts the journey from the past to now and the future. The Department of Social Services is walking alongside the people participating in the study as represented by the footprints.
